SSI Football: 2024 Under the Radar Teams!

mtmillard13

Here are a few teams that I feel will show improvement this upcoming football season that opposing teams need to be ready for. These are teams that I feel will increase their win totals by 1-3 games from last season.

PRESENTED BY:

SERGEANT BLUFF-LUTON: Head Coach Justin Smith and his Warriors are looking to bounce back from a uncommon (2-7) finish last fall. There are several solid returning players that will have a hand in turning things around this season. This is also a very good coaching staff.

Some key returning players include experienced standout senior RB Zayvion Ellington 6-0 (176) who tallied (1,070) rush yards and (8) touchdowns as a junior. The offensive line will showcase senior Blake Dunagan 6-4 (240) at OT. Dunagan will also have an impact at DE where he registered (25.5) tackles and (6.0) TFL. Another impact player will be junior Joey Hardy 6-4 (215) LB/TE who is about to have a coming out party this fall. If the Warriors can get steady play at QB they have a shot to add (+3) wins to the win column this fall with their returning talent!

HINTON: The Blackhawks of head coach Kadrian Hardersen are coming off back to back playoff appearances. Last season's (5-4) finish includes the return of some key impact players that in my opinion can potentially add (+2) wins this fall. Senior district (POY) QB Gabriel Andersen 6-3 (180) returns to trigger the Blackhawk offense as he rushed for (871) yards and (12) scores last season.

The running game returns senior Brooks Binneboese who chipped in (275) yards last fall. Senior WR Kyle Leary returns after recording (12) receptions in 2023. Senior LB Jacob Bishop (33.5) and (6) TFL is a top three returning tackler along with counterpart senior LB Brogan Lake (59) tackles. The Blackhawks are set up for a solid season.
