It is never to early to start thinking about the 2026 HS Football Season! I will be debuting my In Home Visit Podcast presented by Bob Roe's Point After and North End-Zone the beginning of March.
I will be connecting with players across Siouxland who will be household names this fall. We will discuss off-season training, recruiting and the recruiting process in this day and age of social media. I recently signed a contract as a football scout and work for an amazing company called NXTGen Recruits.
NXTGen does offer a paid service and would like to help aspiring student-athletes to reach their academic and athletic goals and find the right fit to spend the next 4-5 years.
FEBRUARY UPDATE #2
JUNIOR JAXX DEJEAN 6-4 (225) TE/WR of OABCIG is an Iowa Hawkeye commit that is set to have a huge senior season on the field. DeJean caught (36) pases for (461) yards and (6) scores in 2025. DeJean, is a multi-sport athlete that will be hard to handle this fall with his size, strength and speed. DeJean will be a wrecking ball in 2026 and should approach (50) receptions for the Falcons.
JUNIOR NATE BRENNEMAN 6-6 (255) OT/DT of BHRV is a rising prospect with a D-1 frame that projects well with several power conferences. Brenneman owns offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State and North Dakota State to name a few and has campus visits scheduled at some of these schools this spring and summer. Great OL prospect at the D-1 level... best football is in front of him.
JUNIOR CHRIS FORD 5-10 (175) WR/CB/Return Specialist of Sioux City East is one of the best cover guys in NW Iowa and is a game breaker in the passing game on offense along with being a special teams demon in the return game. Ford had (39) receptions for (661) yards and (4) scores for the Black Raiders in 2025. Ford racked up (46.5) tackles and (11) PBU's and (2) INT's. Ford earned District Special Teams Player of the Year honors following his (8) KOR for (387) yards and (3) touchdowns. As a punt returner Ford had (9) returns for (228) yards and (2) scores. Ford holds an offer from U.N.I. and is drawing interest from Illinois State, South Dakota State and NDSU to name a few.
SOPHOMORE TYE DEGEORGIA 6-2 (170) QB of Dakota Valley returns to the huddle for his junior season. DeGeorgia started as a sophomore for the Panthers and flashed last fall in his first varsity season by passing for over (1,300) yards and (11) touchdowns. DeGeorgia developed a solid QB/WR relationship with sophomore WR/Slot Tyler Kloucek 5-9 (160) who collected (43) receptions for (470) yards. I look for bigger numbers in 2026. The return of D-1 OL prospect all-stater Seth Rhinehart 6-4 (275) from injury will be a big lift up front as the Panthers will be much improved.
