Coaching Changes for the 2021 Season

SIOUX CITY EAST:

Head Coach Brian Webb made an off-season move over the winter to bring back former Black Raider Head Coach Bob Goodvin in an offensive coordinator role. Coach Goodvin always excelled on the offensive side of the football at the HS and Collegiate level and knows how to create match-ups and move the ball through the air which could be a real treat for the Black Raider fan base.

Goodvin is set to trigger an offense led by Senior QB Jake Longval 6-2 (186) who returns after passing for (1,148) yards and (17) touchdowns during a covid shortened season which saw the Black Raiders finish with a solid 6-2 record. Goodvin also has athletic dynamo WR Taejon Jones 5-11 (170) and senior TE Ethan Snieder 6-4 (220) a Dordt University commit. Goodvin is known for spreading the ball around but look look for him to showcase Jones in a variety of formations and get him the ball in space.

LAWTON-BRONSON:

The Eagle football program welcomes new Head Coach Jason Garnand a former L-B assistant coach to Chad Moseman who together celebrated a state title back in 2007. Garnand was a standout athlete at South Sioux City and went on to play WR for Wayne State College. Garnand knows how to build a staff and is an excellent play caller. It will be fun to watch his first season playout as he has a great football pedigree and will lay a solid foundation to build off of in year one. Garnand most recently was an assistant at Bishop Heelan during the 2020 season.

LEMARS PUBLIC:

This past off-season the Bulldogs made a coaching change as Ken Vigdal takes over for Gabe Tardive. Coach Vigdal has previous experience coaching at Sioux Center and Dordt University. Welcome to Siouxland Coach!
