GAME SET UP: The Wolverines of head coach Lee Irvine come into this game fresh off a (19-7) victory over South Sioux City.
The Stars are entering this contest off a road loss (34-10) at CBAL. Both teams need this win.
The Wolverines are led by a group of talented sophomores and the Stars are looking to overcome an injury suffered by sophomore QB Trey Henry in week one.

The Stars of head coach Mitch Mohr are looking to grab a win versus the Wolverines this Friday. Senior Jack Mogensen 5-8 (170) has taken over the QB duties following the injury to sophomore Trey Henry. Mogensen passed for (100) yards and a touchdown last week and rushed for (77) yards on the ground including a touchdown run. The leading receiver was senior WR Kadyn Edwardson who had (3) receptions for (69) yards and a touchdown. The Stars commited (3) costly turnovers. The Stars defense is led by team tackle leader Mogensen who has (16.5) tackles and sophomore Devin Worden has recorded (16.0) tackles. Stars junior kicker Jensen Wanderscheid is 2/2 on field goal attempts.

The Wolverines of first year head coach Lee Irvine won on the road at South Sioux City (19-7) to pick up their first victory. Sophomore QB Tavin Irvine passed for (55) yards and one score last week. Sophomore WR Nolen Hardgraves was on the receiving end of a 23-yard touchdown pass in the first half. Irvine leads the team with (166) yards rushing. The Wolverine defense is led by sophomore Tramell Topete with (11.5) total tackles. Junior Kash Olson has (8.5) stops so far this season.
SSI TOMORROW'S HEADLINES TODAY: This game will be interesting. Whoever can make the fewest mistakes will win this game. The Wolverines are coming in on a high after winning last week. Sophomore Irvine has been a playmaker early on. I have a feeling the Stars will play desperate to win and will be focused for kickoff and count on the run game with a two tight-end set to open up some run lanes in the Wolverine defense.
