The Bulldogs trailed at the half 15-0 vs SBL but responded in the third quarter putting up (15) of their own points to tie the game. A scoreless fourth quarter led to overtime where the Warriors closed out the game 21-15. The Bulldogs showed some resilience in coming back at home last Friday and will look to avoid an early deficit in this contest. Junior QB Jami Sitzmann passed for (203) yards and (2) scores in the opener. Senior RB Jude Dougherty had (52) yards on the ground to pace the Bulldogs rushing attack. Junior WR Tycen Augustine caught (3) passes for (104) yards and two touchdowns. Senior Jovany Kabongo had (5) receptions for (36) yards as well. Senior Jayden Nelson recorded (9.5) stops on defense.

The Stars avenged a defeat in last season's opener by downing South Sioux City 21-13 last Friday. The Stars were led by senior RB Parker Petersen (43) yards and (2) touchdowns. Sophomore Zach Hagan passed for (58) yards in the victory. Senior WR Alex Soldati was the leading receiving target with (4) catches for (47) yards. Defensively, the Stars were led by senior LB Isaiah Sanchez with (10.5) tackles and Soldati added (8) tackles on the night.

"We had a great team defensive win. Every tackle, every play was a testament to our collective strength on the defensive side of the ball. To be successful tonight we will need consistency and relentless effort. That combination will lead to positive results," stated head coach Mitch Mohr.
