SSI Football: 2025 Names To Watch!

Here are a few athletes from the Siouxland area that will have a huge impact on their teams success this coming fall. The greatest gift for a coaching staff is returning starting talent. Here are some players I will be watching closely.

PRESENTED BY:

The LeMars Bulldogs are one of a handful of teams that do return their starting QB. Senior Jami Sitzmann 5-9 (180) returns under center coming off a spectacular junior campaign where he passed for (1,331) yards and tossed (19) touchdown passes. The elite part of Sitzmann's game is his completion percentage of (66.9%) and his elusiveness in the pocket and ability to turn a dead play into positive yardage. Sitzmann can hurt you with his legs as well having posted (306) rushing yards and (3) scores on the ground. In watching his HUDL film he has a savy feel for the game and does an incredible job of keeping his eyes downfield and burning defenses with big plays. Sitzmann's top two receivers return in seniors Andrew Grant and Tycen Augustine who combined for (13) touchdowns last year. Could be a NAIA prospect! Stay tuned....Follow Sitzmann on X: @JamiSitzmann2

The Black Raiders return a three year starter with senior Jake Breyfogle 6-2 (210) at linebacker. Breyfogle piled up (27) solo tackles and (54) assists to go with (9) TFL. Breyfogle's HUDL film shows great lateral movement and pursuit of the ball carrier. Has the speed to chase down a play from the backside and is a special teams demon on the kickoff team. You can tell from the film that Breyfogle enjoys the physical contact inside the tackle box and can really pack a punch. It's always a net positive when you can return an experienced senior on defense the caliber of Breyfogle. Currently holds offers from Northwestern, Grand View and Morningside. The 2024 state champion West Lyon Wildcats will look to re-load for the 2025 season. The Wildcats return one of the premiere running backs in the state with senior Evan Hildring 5-11 (185) a second team all-state selection. Hildring rang up (1,023) rushing yards and (16) touchdowns in helping lead the Wildcats to a state title. The HUDL film shows a true between the tackles runner who is a slasher in the open field. Hildring also spearheads the defensive unit with (46) tackles and (7.5) TFL. Hildring is a college prospect and will excel at the D2 level and has a chance to be featured on either side of the football. Follow Hildring on X: @evan_hildring
