SSI: Post Game Lawton-Bronson Closes With 4th Quarter Flurry To Secure Season Opener!

Eagles second year head coach Jason Garnand has been wanting to see his team have an attitude to close games out late and saw that happen when a precarious 15-13 lead at the (10:15) mark in the 4th quarter became a game winning drive.

Junior QB Braden Heiss connected with senior WR Jesse Oehlerking on a key first down reception for (14) yards to keep an important drive alive at the (9:54) mark on a 3rd &11. Running Back Brayden Williams ran hard for over (140) yards and the offensive line was owning the line of scrimmage in the 4th quarter to complete a game sealing 78-yard drive that ended with a Cowan Jaminet 4-yard touchdown run to bump the score to 22-13 at the (7:57) mark. Williams put the game on ice at the (1:52) mark to increase the score to 29-13 with a 10-yard scamper and that was the final score. Hear from head coach Garnand and senior RB Williams on the importance of the week #1 win.
