BLACK RAIDERS: We announced on our podcast last week that SSI as a staff were of the opinion that we might still be talking about this game throughout the season. The Black Raiders won 41-40 in double overtime over Bishop Heelan and junior CB/KR Chris Ford etched his name in this rivalry forever. Ford returned (2) back breaking kickoff returns for touchdowns as the Black Raiders stayed unbeaten on the season (3-0) and carry big momentum into the back half of their schedule. The Black Raiders will play host to Sioux City West (1-2) this Thursday at Olsen Stadium

Congratulations to the Eagles of head coach Chad Moseman secured their second victory of the season over Missouri Valley (42-0). The Eagles now (2-1) host MVAOCOU this Friday night. Junior QB Noah Drew has passed for (768) yards and (5) scores and has rushed for a team high (152) yards and (3) touchdowns. Senior WR Cole Wagner leads the receivers with (17) receptions for (219) yards and one score. Sophomore Jaxon Otto as (15) receptions for (174) yards and a score. The defense has been led by senior Layne Mitchell (35.5) tackles and (2) TFL.

The Blackhawks got a huge road win last Friday at Tri-Center 40-26! The Blackhawks trailed 14-13 at halftime and scored (27) second half points to move to (2-1) on the season. The Blackhawks rushed for (417) yards on the ground led by senior QB Cole Friessen tallied (170) yards and two scores. The Blackhawk defense held the Trojans to (57) yards on the ground. The Blackhawks will host (1-2) Ridge View on Friday.

The Warriors of head coach Justin Smith crushed CBTJ 62-14 in week three. The Warriors hit the road this Friday to take on a (3-0) Glenwood team that has outscored their opponents 108-32 so far this season. The Warrior defense will look to slow down Glenwood senior RB Scott Reed who has rushed for (564) yards. The Warriors are hitting their stride on offense as junior RB Ryan Husen has piled up (292) yards and two scores.
