The Stars of head coach Mitch Mohr are inside 48 hours of kickoff for Thursday night's 7:00 PM season opener at Olsen Stadium versus the South Sioux City Cardinals. Here are my notes from today's practice.
The unquestioned leader of the offensive line is senior Chase Keller. Keller was very vocal during practice and keeping his fellow lineman engaged in practice. Senior QB Carson Strohbehn seems comfortable in the offense and executed some nice throws in practice. The Stars are in good shape at running back with junior Dayton Harrell and sophomore transfer DeMarico Young. This is a solid duo that will give defense's fits this fall. Senior Luke Soldati is a very good football player and will impact the game on offense and defense. The Stars are also deep at TE and have good athleticism at the position.
