SSI is excited to wrap up the regular season and turn our attention to post season play which begins Friday night for the smaller classifications 8-Man, A, 1A and 2A! Class 5A, 4A and 3A will begin post season play on October 31!

Head coach Jon LaFleur has his team at (7-1) and ranked #4 in class 3A. The Crusaders have been on a mission since their lone defeat of the season to Class 5A #3 Sioux City East 42-41. The Crusaders have been rolling with a 5-game win streak ever since. Over that span, the defense has only allowed (21) points and recorded (2) shutouts. The Crusaders close regular season play at Algona (3-5) on Friday who have dropped four games in a row. The Crusaders have had several players take their game to the next level. Here are some key players I have highlighted prior to post season play.

Head Coach Justin Smith just keeps piling up wins. The Warriors currently stand at (7-1) and are ranked #4 in Class 4A with one game remaining this Friday at Spencer (3-5) and winners of two straight games. The Warriors have rattled off seven straight wins and at times have been dominate. The Warriors have crushed their last four opponents to the tune of (188-21)! Here are some players looking to keep the good vibes going heading into the post-season.

Head Coach Mike Winklepleck has his high powered team at (7-1) heading into their final regular season contest at Ames (1-7) this Friday night. The Black Raider offense has been firing on all cylinders this season averaging (35.1) ppg behind senior bulls-eye QB Cal Jepsen. The defense has athletes at all three levels and boasts a solid front seven that can get after the opposing QB. The Black Raider defense is only allowing (14.1) ppg and has racked up (68) TFL. Here are some key players that have had plenty to do with the season success to date.
