GAME SET UP: This is a top 10 matchup featuring two solid football teams. Head coach Jon LaFluer brings his Crusaders into town to mix it up with Sioux Center head coach Tim Van Regenmorter who has his team undefeated and averaging (40.0) ppg. The closest contest so far was a 28-14 victory last week over Spencer for the Warriors.

CRUSADERS: Senior QB Noah Conley has settled in and is moving the offense efficiently through the air with (670) yards passing and (4) touchdown passes. University of Iowa LB commit Kasen Thomas 6-3 (225) has rushed for (446) yards and (10) scores so far. Avery Favors has added (113) yards on the ground. Senior athletic playmaker WR Cayden Lester 6-4 (210) leads the Crusaders with (17) receptions for (235) yards and (2) scores. Junior WR Grant Whitcomb is coming on with (6.0) receptions for (119) yards and one score. Junior WR Jonathon Hope has secured (11) receptions for (115) yards and two scores.

Senior captain LB Zach Harpenau 5-11 (200) who is the heart and soul of the defense has a team high (22.0) tackles and (2.5) TFL. Thomas has (15.0) tackles and (6.0) TFL from his OLB position. Junior Max Aesoph has (13.0) stops and (3.0) TFL. Lester has contributed (14.0) tackles from his safety position.

WARRIORS: Junior QB Ezra Hibma 6-1 (195) has performed very well in the front end of the schedule. Hibma is completing (66%) of his passes and has passed for (664) yards and (11) touchdowns. Hibma has also rushed for (197) yards and (2) scores. The other key contributor in the running game is senior Joseph Molina 5-11 (190) has (281) yards and (2) touchdowns. Molina also has (9) receptions for (142) yards and (4) scores. Junior WR Braedon Perez-Heitbrink 6-1 (175) is a the playmaker on the outside with (7) catches for (219) yards and a score.

The defense which has allowed (22.0) points per game is led by senior LB Cody Sandbulte 6-3 (220) the tackle leader with (25.0) tackles and (6.0) TFL. Other key defenders include senior Jace Bradshaw with (17.0) stops and junior Ethan Bosma with (11.0) tackles and (4.0) TFL. The Warrior defense has combined for (8) interceptions.

SSI TOMORROWS HEADLINES TODAY: This game will serve as a nice measuring stick for the Warriors as their opponents they have defeated currently fashion a 5-11 overall record. The Warriors have had a nice balance of run and pass on offense with (703) passing yards and (760) rushing yards. The Crusaders should be able to slow the Warrior run game down and I look for them to have a good night in turnover margin and Thomas will have one big house call out of the backfield.
