SSI Football Media Coverage Continues As Kickoff Closes In!

Updated: Aug 1, 2022

In this post, SSI features two talented athletes that will be counted on to help their teams post victories this fall. One player is a returning starter for the North Stars the other is a rising junior college prospect at Bishop Heelan!

SC North senior Beau Johnson 6-1 (210) TE/DE is the leading returning tackler for the Stars defense that only allowed (16.1) points per game in 2021. Johnson racked up (50) tackles and (4) TFL to help lead a solid defensive effort. Look for an increase in production this season out of Johnson and he should put up good numbers at TE with a good running game on offense and returning senior QB Carson Strohbeen.

Bishop Heelan is the beneficiary of an extremely talented RB/LB in junior Isaiah Favors 6-0 (185) who transferred in from Dakota Valley at the winter semester break. Favors pops out right away on his Dakota Valley Hudl tape as just a sophomore. Favors, who has been timed at (4.50) in the 40-yd dash is a striker and pursues ball carriers with proper angles and has great football instincts but his speed is a game changer. Favors is a legitimate 2024 college prospect and will have a positive impact this fall for the Crusaders.
