SSI Football: Bishop Heelan Crusaders Practice Report Presented By: Chick-Fil-A

I had the opportunity to stop by the Crusader practice this afternoon as they game prep for their season opener this Friday night at 7:00 PM inside Olsen Stadium. I was impressed with the practice plan and organization and the game plan being implemented. Head Coach Jon LaFleur has assembled a very good staff complete with three former head coaches. There was great periods of coaching and teaching going on between players and coaches.

Junior QB Quinn Olson looks comfortable in this offense and throws a pretty ball when given time. The offensive backfield is in good shape with junior Sir Brandon Watts, Dakota Valley transfer Isaiah Favors and sophomore Myles Wegher. Each back has a unique skillset but each has the ability to be a good receiver out of the backfield. I like Kannon Bork 6-2 (210) at TE. I get the feeling he will have some big plays in the passing game this fall right between the numbers down the middle of the field. Olson and Bork have good chemistry in the passing game. The defense showed the ability to rally to the football and were working hard being gap sound along the defensive front.
